Lydia is a social media and content professional, working with a number of clients on their digital strategies. She joined Purpose Union from PR agency Nelson Bostock, where she led end-to-end digital campaigns, developed social media strategy and provided counsel for B2B clients such as Canon, Railsbank, and Infogrid. Lydia began her career in corporate social responsibility at O2. Whilst there, she played a pivotal role in launching their industry-leading net-zero commitments. In addition, Lydia was the key marketing contact for the O2 NSPCC partnership. In this position, she embedded a new brand identity, created an e-learning platform for employees, launched a digital campaign, and managed retail activations across 70 UK stores.
Lydia went on to work in the content and channels team within O2, where she ran the external social channels for the corporate O2 accounts and the Executive team. This included the CEO, which Lydia assisted in converting to ‘influencer’ status. It was here Lydia developed a keen interest in social media, content management and the importance of personal branding. Lydia holds a degree in Business Management from the University of Birmingham. Whilst studying, she completed the Uprising Leadership program, where she devised a social action campaign alongside her peers targeting the stigma of homelessness.
